About the Role

Reporting to the ACFSS Child & Family Services Team Lead
Seeking a Full-Time dedicated individual to join a team of professional Agency Staff of Atikameg Child and Family Services Society, and serving children and families within our nation. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Salary will be based on Qualifications and Experience.

Provide a diversified case management service to children and families in need. This includes supports, and intervention services for children at risk. A dedicated team player who works closely with community, other programs, and a focus on community partnerships to ensure that a range of child intervention services are effectively coordinated to meet the needs of Nation families. Well-developed interpersonal skills, and dedication, to the well being of children and families. Duty to contribute toward a team approach of Least Intrusive, Best Practise, and Beliefs of the nation. Required to be on the On-Call/Intake rotation list.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills
The ideal candidate\s will have a working knowledge of the Child, Youth, and Family Enhancement Act; Signs of Safety as well as possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong critical thinking skills and organizational skills. Additionally, they will be required to demonstrate the skills, knowledge, abilities and competencies as outlined in the Job Profile; required to be on the On-Call/Intake Rotation list. Knowledge of Cree Nation culture and language is a definite asset.

Qualifications
A Social Work diploma, BSW or MSW or other social sciences diploma with a minimum of 2 years of frontline experience and excellent computer skills. Previous experience working with Intervention Services role is preferred. Experience working with; or knowledge of, Indigenous communities and culture, and working knowledge of Signs of Safety is an asset.
To provide satisfactory Security Checks as a condition for hire. The selected candidate for this position will be asked to undergo a CRIM Check, an Intervention Record Check.
